Kenny Smith is a Solutions Consultant for the University of Tennessee’s Center for Industrial Services, an agency within the Institute for Public Service which he joined in 2015. Prior to joining UT, he had more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing and has taught or applied Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance, Six Sigma and problem solving skills in 14 different countries for NN, Inc.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University studying Industrial Engineering Technology and is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Kenny, his wife Teresa, and daughter Madison run a family farm in Elizabethton, TN where they raise beef cattle.
